Firebirds 18U - Meyer are an established A-level softball team based in Northern Virginia. After qualifying for and competing in the USA Elite Select World Fastpitch Championship in Florida, we were the #1 ranked USA Elite Select 16U team in Virginia for the 2019 season.

 

Our roster consists of highly motivated student/athletes who have the desire to compete at the collegiate level. Resources and guidance available to assist players interested in playing softball in college.

We will be playing 18U open tournaments and college showcase events with the goal of qualifying for a national tournament next summer. Our schedule includes a mix of both local and out-of-town tournaments. Coach Meyer has over 16 years of softball coaching experience at the house, travel and high school levels. Assistant coaches also have extensive travel and high school coaching experience, well as DI college softball playing experience. Current players attend and play for Edison, Hayfield, Lake Braddock, Madison, Oakton, Robinson, South County, and West Springfield. The team consists of numerous first and second team all-district and all-region selections, player of the year awards, and three members of the 6A State Champions South County Stallions.
