Cara Martin Named First Team All-Met
Congratulations to Cara Martin (Firebirds 16U-Meyer), a sophomore pitcher at South County High School, who was named a 2019 first team All-Met by The Washington Post (https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2019/06/11/spring-all-mets-softball-first-team-second-team-honorable-mentions/?utm_term=.7dfb2ea97fc0). Here’s what The Post had to say:
She has maintained a 0.43 ERA and 0.63 WHIP and tossed 10 shutouts for the Stallions en route to the Virginia Class 6 state semifinals. She has struck out 279 in 146 innings pitched.
